So, it took a while but we have finally consumed the 20 lbs of apples that we brought home from apple picking. This is the last recipe that we made. I was a little skeptical, but it turned out pretty well.
It's almost Halloween! Kiddo is going to be a tiger. She has a great roar... I decided that I should bring a snack to daycare to celebrate the day.
So, this is my sister's cake**. She always makes it for the family and it is delicious. Kiddo and I decided to give this recipe a try and it didn't disappoint. The recipe is super easy, forgiving, and kid friendly - in other words: toddler-proof.
She just recently got over her fear of the electric mixer. Baking is a lot easier (and faster) now that I don't have to stop for her to be a safe distance away before I turn it on.
I was pleased with the ease of this recipe, the opportunities for Kiddo to help, and with how good the squash tasted when it was done. Kiddo had seconds!
I only had two cravings while pregnant: dried apricots and guacamole.
