We are big fans of the pb & j, and since Kiddo likes it so much I wanted to teach her how to make it.
So, it took a while but we have finally consumed the 20 lbs of apples that we brought home from apple picking. This is the last recipe that we made. I was a little skeptical, but it turned out pretty well.
It's almost Halloween! Kiddo is going to be a tiger. She has a great roar... I decided that I should bring a snack to daycare to celebrate the day.
After apple picking we came home with 20 pounds of apples, so we've been on a bit of an apple kick. I have always liked apple pie, but never really made it. The crust is the part I was most worried about.
So, this is my sister's cake**. She always makes it for the family and it is delicious. Kiddo and I decided to give this recipe a try and it didn't disappoint. The recipe is super easy, forgiving, and kid friendly - in other words: toddler-proof.
We tried to make biscuits. The key word is tried. They didn't turn out so well. But Kiddo had fun and learned some new skills.
