Air Fryer Chicken

On Sunday, Kiddo wanted take-out. The problem is, we haven’t ordered take-out since before the stay at home orders. But, I made a compromise. We could have pizza and wings, we would just make them ourselves. This satisfied her. It was perfect because I had already planned to try out our brand new air fryer. We just received an air fryer as a gift from my brother.

I found a recipe online, but only used it for temperature, cooking time and quantity of oil.

The wings were good, but needed a bit more time (or maybe less olive oil?), because they were not quite as crisp as I’d wanted.

Air Fryer Chicken Wing Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. chicken wings
  • 1.5 TBS olive oil
  • 1 TBS sazon*

Air Fryer Chicken Wing Directions:

  1. Pat the wings dry and place in a bowl or plastic bag.
  2. Coat wings with oil.
  3. Add sazon to wings and toss to evenly coat all pieces.
  4. Place wings, evenly spaced in air fryer.
  5. Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, for 9 minutes** on each side.
  6. Eat!

*I buy my spices in bulk so I still have sazon made by a company I now boycott. You can make your own, or purchase from this company.

**The original recipe said 8 minutes per side, but I want a crispier wing. Adjust the time according to your preferences.

  1. Hi! I Don’t use any oil on mine, cook them for about 20 minutes on “bake” at 350 before I move to “air fry” for the last 5-6 minutes on 425. They come out super crispy.
